Catalans win the first leg

The first leg between the best in spain, and the best in england resulted in a dominating victory for the catalans.
The game was quite evenly matched until Martin Demichelis was sent off for a last-man foul on Lionel Messi.
Messi stepped up to the spot and broke the deadlock in the 54th minute.
Despite being a man down, City continued to threaten Barcelona.

Both team focused on the importance of keeping possession on the ball. The Barca defence lin started going slack and the City attack found fissures, causing discomfort to Valdes.
After Kompany got his head to a silva-hit free kick and Negredo hit a shot straight at Valdes, Barcelona jumped back to life with messi and xavi tearing through the defence.

Barca had the final say, however, with Alves gathering a pass from Neymar and tucking the ball between Hart's legs in the final minute to seal the game for the Catalans'.
